LAS VEGAS — A cash cage at the New York, New York Hotel and Casino was robbed early Wednesday, with the armed suspect ultimately escaping, authorities reported.

The heist took place at about 1 a.m. and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department authorities said no one was injured when the man pointed the gun at the cashier and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
